That company went public, I left a year later to work for another public company (big marketing conglomerate). Now I work at a startup in the real estate space. I'm 30, working as a copywriter in Nairobi.

I've been working as a creative in the offline advertising and marketing industry, in London, for 15+ years; but have been active online for the past few years. I'm English, and I live in London.

I started out as a designer and art director but now work exclusively as a copywriter. I have a lot of great work in my portfolio working on offline campaigns for blue chips clients - but my credit is mostly for visual work rather than copywriting.

I'm building a good client base online and finally thought I should post on this great forum instead of merely browsing.

Why I turned to copywriting? I want to make it my main source of income, even if copywriting is not going to be the thing I devote most of my time to. Ok, but why copywriting? Because I love writing, be it an scientific article, a blog post or a copy.
