Hi guys...I figured I'd fill out what seems to be the standard form here

As for who I am, I was a first grade teacher before my son was born. I knew that I didn't want to go back to teaching and wanted to stay home with him. I started Ghostwriting and immediately matched and then surpassed my income when I was teaching. I feel very blessed!

I was then turned onto Copywriting because there truly is no way to be an Internet Marketer without it. I have developed a strong passion for it and am devouring book after book on the topic. I am a quick study and have a thirst for knowledge, so I know that this will be a large part of my business model very soon.

Besides, I am starting to think that I have a natural knack for it At least, I'm going to hope so anyway

Hi Guys

54 years old, proof that your never too old to try something new!

Retired London Police Officer (dog handler).

Written many things and published none of them, but I like to write.

Given my training in life I am ready for just about anything, I am used to giving out advice but my clients mostly did not like to listen. My K9 partner Leo was much better at getting some attention. He had a great way to get your attention..."bad boys what are you gonna do when Leo comes for you"

Joking aside, I look forward to having some fun on this forum and to move my writing along to something more positive.

I have read many letters over the past few years, selling may not be the place for many of the writers, but I have to admit I applaud them getting off their seats and trying.

Hi folks. Mike LH you think you are old? I'm 71.

I have written sales letters for my own businesses but never for anyone else. Actually I have no desire to. I once thought I would try it and submitted my work to a large ad agency. I got lucky. Business was slow and they told me that my work was very good but they weren't hiring at that point.

Later I decided the ad business was the last thing I wanted to be in. My last job before retirement was maintenance mechanic in a brewery.

The first book I ever read on marketing was How I Made a Million Dollars in Mailorder by E.J. Cossman. The writing was bad and the copy was hokey but the big lesson to be learned was thoroughness. This guy could milk the last penny out of a product at the least cost.

I have no favorite movies, books, etc. There are just too many good ones. What may move me emotionally at one time may not at another.

I am mystified at the number of ads, letters, etc. that offer no customer benefits. Maybe I should say believeable customer benefits. Is there a thread on the worst sales letters of all time. I have two candidates.

I am looking forward to the sewing circle.

Hi Skel

I am just a youngster, great!!

Where are you from?

You made me laugh about the two worst sales letters, there is a bit of a Simon Cowell about you and a sense of humour that comes with age if we are lucky. I look forward to learning some advanced sewing techniques.

Mike

Hi Mike! I was born in Nashville, TN, raised and worked all over the US from Los Angles to Florida. I presently live in the mountains of North Carolina (Franklin).

I have never worked in the marketing industry but for some strange reason I have been at least mildly obscessed with it since my early twenties. Go figure.

At the present I am planning to market my own product. I finally thought of one that fits my criteria.

1. It solves a real problem.
2. It has no competition.
3. It's purchase price can be held to $9.95 (I think).
4. It potential customer base is huge.

My biggest problem will be to live long enough to accomplish it.
