Thanks for the article(s) on the forced continuity issue.

I have to say that I've gotten VERY wary of signing up for anything that includes any kind of continuity that isn't processed through PayPal (and thereby easily cancelable by ME if I decide to do that). In fact, I have learned the hard way to avoid it like the plague, and Matt is one of the responsible parties.

Shawn Casey at least sends out reminder emails (and even CALLED to alert me to the upcoming charges (at least the first time it was being rebilled)).

Some people don't even send out receipts of the charges, and with hundreds of daily emails cluttering up my inboxes, it's hard to go back to find the detailed original info needed to cancel (if it's even there).

Oh, and on the credit card (and especially debit card) receipts they pretty much look like mystery charges too, so it takes serious detective work to figure out what the charges are for and how to find the responsible party. Eek!

About Matt Bacak's Dirt & Habitat promo... when you wrote he backed off -- did he actually cancel the forced subscriptions or do I still have to do that?
