Yes, it's more corporate-looking and more "web 2.0-ish." But my other sites are more salesletter-driven. This is a portal site more than anything else, and representative of my company -- not my services per se.

(It's also WordPress-driven as a CMS!)

Especially like the serious "professor" look and coolacious suit... nice compliment to the site's colors.

What is the duck logo all about. You would think that the word "Doctor" and a duck shouldn't belong together (ie. subliminal quack)... just something I felt was strange... I'm sure you have your reason and good intentions behind it though.

Something else I noticed... don't know if it's new to your site, but using a cell phone is a cool idea... very "up with the times-ish".

I went there last night and thought I was in the wrong place. It didn't help that I didn't recognize who the picture was of at first . Anyway, after the initial confusioin (about 2.2 seconds) I must say that...IT'S AWESOME.

I gotta throw in my two cents here. I'm not sure I like the "duck" logo either.

Also, I'd consider using a different photo of you. The current photo with your arms crossed and your serious expression makes you look a bit stand off-ish and impersonal in my opinion.

I'd suggest something that better represents you: a warm, smiling, personable, brilliant copywriter!

Other than that I like the new layout a lot!

Michel is the most tolerant and forgiving person I've ever met... What you've posted is nothing compared to the rediculous rantings I've posted here in the past .

You have nothing to worry about.

All your opinions are awesome, really. The "duck" is really a phoenix. But since a few people interpret it as a duck, it tells me that I got to change it.

As for the picture, it was specifically changed to a more "power pose" style, more stern and confident, than my normal pictures. The site is really not to get sales. It's a portal site, and driving traffic away to other sites is what I'm most interested in, rather than trying to get people to stay.

(And yes, I'll be testing this...)

If you're trying to drive away traffic, then you could try using the "Baxter Bird" instead... (Just kidding)!

I've got to agree with Mike here. I love the new look of the site, but think the photo is a wee bit too stern looking. It's night and day compared to the photo on the forum which looks much more warm and inviting to me.

I did note that there were no links over to the Michel Fortin blog, or forums.

Was that a business decision not to mix the business streams, or due to being on the same hosting.

Maybe there was a link I missed
