As you have now noticed, there's a new theme.
Reason?
I recently upgraded the forum to the latest version.
No problem there.
But the plugin that offered a different bunch of new features (like the PayPal buttons, the color-coded threads, the user CP interface, etc) not only was incompatible, it also corrupted my theme and some core files.
Sure, I had a backup, but the plugin would keep corrupting it.
Problem is, the plugin is encoded. I couldn't fix it.
So I went back to the plugin author whom I hired to customize it for me (and customize my forum and the old theme), and... lo and behold...
... He's no longer in business and his website has disappeared.
Ugh.
Anyway, rather than trying to recode the old theme by hand (I had years of tiny customizations I personally made), I decided to buy a whole new theme instead.
The new one you see now.
I like it. It's slick, easy to read/navigate, and comes with a bunch a new features, however not as many as the plugin used to offer. So my question to you...
If I were to buy other plugins, or hire a programmer to customize them, what features (either new features or features from the old theme) would you like to see on this forum? Let me know, and I'll do my best to accommodate. Michel Fortin FREE One-Hour Video Tutorial! Discover how to make money online with any business in just four simple steps. Free video shows you how. Looks good. Might take a little bit to get used to the colors and icons. Here's a couple wish-list items.
1. Adjustable width.
2. Other themes or a dark background color. It's really bright to look at and there's very little contrast so things kind of wash out.
Thanks for the update. Kawika O. If I had a dime for every retail store that "got it" I'd owe $6,139,420.40. | | | | | Copywriter

I was looking more in terms of functionality, not theme-related.
What you see is what you get, unfortunately. (Width or color-wise.)
I can do some tweaking, but I'm really looking for is functionality.

Whatever you've done has made the forum faster and it's much better. The only thing that sucks is the "look" in my opinion. This thing is hurting my eyes reading it, it just doesn't "pop" and feel easy to read. The sidebars blend with the body part of the forum, the words seem smaller, it's just not a fun experience anymore. | | | | | Super Moderator

Michel, you always bend over backwards to make sure your members are happy. I would throw out a couple of suggestions to make sure we can still post pics and vids, but otherwise, I think it's just fine as it is. Haven't had a chance to explore everything yet, so I may come back.
But take a well-deserved break, my friend.

John | Yup, those still work.
I'm going to look for an alternative to the PayPal donation plugin, tho. Michel Fortin FREE One-Hour Video Tutorial! Discover how to make money online with any business in just four simple steps. Free video shows you how. Click here to watch this video » | | | | | Copywriter

Ah - I hate it when software doesn't play well together and appreciate all your hard work here Michel.
I don't know that I took advantage of many of the older features so I'm not the best person to comment on those, but I find the forum a little tougher to read too - mostly the forum and thread headings (the ones that turn black when hovored over) which I think are lighter than the old style and a little harder on the old eyes. (The main font used for replies seems to be a lighter style and a little tougher to read too.)

But honestly, everything is faster and better. And expecially the top login box is nice.
The ONLY thing that's rough is the way the font is small the colors blend so it's hard on the eyes and difficult to read. That's it. | | | | |
