Default Diego Norte - has changed colour - 06-16-2008, 08:00 PM

After all his self-righteous clap-trap, looks like Jimmy Brau*ch has finally realised people have cottoned onto him.

He's now started a new blog, with a different name and even a different picture... of someone else.

diego norte(dot)com.

I don't have any experience with him, and I don't have any personal feelings (positive or negative) for him either.

I was going to ask how you knew this was him, but then I noticed if you type in his old url the diego site comes up, and if you search his name in google the diego site is #2 in the rankings.

I would think if you were going to use a false identity you wouldn't redirect traffic from your old domain.

That's not very smart re-directing the traffic like JCollins said lol.

What exactly was his deal?

Hey guys - sorry for the delayed two cents.

I just found this because I noticed someone found my blog though searching "diego norte blog." I wondered how high I was in the results so I clicked through and saw this thread.

I'm subscribed to that blog among others. James (or whoever was writing his posts) actually told everyone he was moving his business over to another domain. It wasn't an attempt to be reborn anonymous.

He's moved to Costa Rica and said Diego is James in Spanish. I think he multivariate tested to get the Norte part. Back when he changed his original domain from .com to .org he said it was to see if he could change the domain and maintain his traffic in case he ever wanted to sell the brand name.

Knowing him, he's surely multivariate testing different pictures. I think I've seen two or three different ones. I guess that's the question you have to ask... is the picture there because everyone thinks that's the person writing the blog... or is it to maximize your traffic so more people benefit from your wisdom?

I don't know if he's sold his brand with the new site. That would be pretty smart of him if he pulled it off and no one couldn't tell. I do remember seeing a comment on the other domain from someone who must be high up in his organization saying the only way he even knew if James was still alive was that he was periodically adding posts on the FLDS situation. Whatever else you think about him, that's some serious automation for a business model that no doubt makes millions each year.
