Jason, I'll trade you!
I hear Houston's heat index is supposed to be around 104 degrees today. Sure most of this heat is due to the ridiculous humidity we're sure to have.
One of the cool things (pun intended) about Arizona is that in certain locations, you might have 108 degrees on the desert floor and 50 degrees up in the mountains. If it gets too hot for outdoor activities, you simply relocate to a higher, more comfortable climate.
When I was stationed in
Fort Huachuca for Army Intelligence training, there were mornings when the base would start out at 50-60 degrees in the morning, but after 10:00 (when the sun popped over the mountain ridge), it would climb into the triple digits
... but of course it was a
DRY heat! Yeah right!
For those of you in Rio Linda, a dry heat is where your brain cooks and you die without breaking a sweat or knowing that you are about to have a heat stroke.
