Thanks for the mention MusicCity. Stage 1 "gain their trust" is complete

I nominate Anne Moss for the "Naughty but Nice" award. Seems fitting on so many levels

And gjabiz for the "Grizzly old wise dude" award.

Hi all,

honestly I used to say that people here are nice, and I mean what I say, from what I saw elsewhere this forum is from the rare and maybe the unique place on the net, where people tend to be more constructive then negative.

I am proud to be a member of this community, those aren't just word my friend, I am sincere.

there was an event in this forum that make me proud :

The trio : Jason MO, Vin Montello and Nebulousx like many in this board deserve the "Solidarity Award Member". sometime we all need to read the archive.

Rachelle Irwin, Carson , Deb Holder, Janet Beatrice, SuzanneR and all the women here, you deserve more then one award, professionalism

what make this board unique in my modest vision, is the fact that it is populated by the most intelligent professional and human sense people I saw.

in many thread, people here showed their tolerence, their solidarity, their professionalism , we can spend days telling name and never stop doing that.

I am a lurker by nature , but from time to time I turn to the archive I love this place of this forum, and I miss some people too Baily and many who post less ...

Tom Jones thank you for bringing my name I wish I had your humility modesty and knowledge.

to end this long rant, I want to make a word or two about some one who deserve many awards :

Jhon_S Every critic from him is worth swip, a detailed critic with example and reference, a kind of manual for one purpose "help".

this place has some magic power:
1) some get their first job
2) some discovered a passion
3) some learned how to change their life.
4) some earned friends, mentor and guide

I think modestly that others will say better then me how this place change at least their visions.

the last word go to the owner of this place Michel Fortin, thank you , may you and your entire family have a long happy life.

Ps: Yes ken Strong, I am pinky and emotif from time to time.

The beginner.
(Time to take some actions)

I'll accept! Where do I make my speech? This is especially rewarding since you are Mr. January in the 2009 "Hottest Copywriters on the Planet" Calendar and part of the MusicCity's ORIGINAL top notch list nominations. (I had to give Vin Mr. March because it was his birthday.) I have to fan myself. All of this fame is making me flush.

Grizzly- What about you? Should I write a press release?

Thanks, Tom. I needed that. It's been one of "those" weeks.

And my wife thinks I have clutter issues.

Damn, Bruce. That picture has the makings of a Successories type print with the theme "clutter". Subtle?

Music,

I really appreciate that, dude.

I tend to lurk more than I post, too. Mainly because I don't like to "talk" without having something meaningful to say. Having said that, you should post more. You've got more to share than you realize. This thread is proof.

There are two guys that I didn't see mentioned and in my book are at the head of the class when it comes to "dripping with integrity and kindness":

Michael Humphreys and Kevin Rogers. Class acts.

Thanks, Chris. Same to you, friend.

I have great reverence for this board and all its regulars. Some of the best early advice Vin gave me was to visit here everyday.

I'll take this opening to briefly step away from my innate sarcasm and toss a love granade in the direction of a few members as well... (no order)

1. Andy Catsimanes. Every post a hearty plateful of insight and wit. Plus, Andy has an awesome ability to put people in check without being scornful. I guess it's easy to be fearless when you're that damn smart! A truly generous person as well. And, might I add, Jeopardy Champion!

2. John S. This guy floors me. His critiques are razor sharp and loaded with actionable advice. No matter if it's a clueless Noob with a half-baked squeeze page, or a veteran looking to tweak a headline, John hurls heat at every batter.

3. Kyle Tully. Another generous guy. Gives solid, big picture advice in his critiques. If we ever have CWB Apprentice, I want to be on Kyle's team.

4. Jason Leister. Always there with spot-on advice copywriters can use to improve and accel thier own businesses. If you have holes in your calendar and you're not on Jason's list, you deserve to fall in those holes.

5. Gjabiz. Kind of guy you meet in a pub and six hours of listening later you have an expanded view on all subjects discussed. In fact, if I knew where that pub was, I'd go there and wait.

Those are just few. Some others, like Michel, Subtle, Andrew Cavanaugh, Neb, Ken Calhoun, J-MO, Harlan and, of course, Vin Montello... have all made huge contributions to my education -- I thank you all.

Alright, that completes my love fest! Now where's Angie?
