I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I was watching some of the commercials with my husband and the thought crossed my mind!

I wonder if any of our brilliant forum members here have some major ads running tonight!?!?

I was thinking of running one for my trading sites, even had the footage with the blondes, the Ferrari and my island in the Caymans all ready to go, but they rejected it, said it was "Too Much Fun" for a superbowl commercial.

And sheesh I had my 1.2 Million budgeted and everything. Ah well, I guess I'll put it on youtube instead. :P

I was thinking more along the lines of someone had written the script/copy for a major advertiser...not so much that you would have been advertising yourself during the superbowl...

Hi... good question... (btw my response wasn't intended as sarcasm, more my sense of humor, I'm still working on finding one lol)....

One thing I *do* like to do, as a tip, is record great commercials and then run the mp3 of them through dragon dictate to get a transcript of what's said (works great w/those long infomercials)...

Just heard on the radio this morning that it cost 2.7 MILLION dollars for a 30 second Super Bowl ad this year.

Not too many companies will spend that much for a one-time ad.

Some of the ones they ran, left my wife and I wondering what they were thinking.

Example: movie preview of Iron Man... which won't come out for another 3 months. Most people aren't going to remember it for that long... they have WAY too much other stuff to remember.

Mike, we felt the same way! Although there were some really good ones this year, on the whole we were disappointed in SB ads this go around.

However, WWOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO GIANTS!!!!! (My husband is a big Giants fan - born in upstate NY and now completely anti-snow. Good thing we both love living in the south...lol).
