I was thinking of launching a promotion on Monday, but I see it is Columbus Day in the USA.

Is this a major holiday down there? Would I be better advised to wait until Tuesday to launch?

Schools, Government offices and banks are closed on Columbus Day. For most other businesses it's normal operating hours. It's not the same "level" of holiday as Memorial Day and Labor Day.

That being said, if it were me I would probably wait until Tuesday. I know a lot of my business comes from the 3 industries listed above.
