43. Old enough to know better, but still young enough to do it anyways.

If we can't get Mr. J. K. Subtle's real identity, I doubt we'll find out his age.

Janet, what are you talking about???? You still look like a high school kid. If you drink, I bet you still get carded. Hey, maybe by the time you hit 50 they'll finally stop saying you need a parent's permission to get into the movie theater

I for one am looking forward to 50. Maybe then people will stop assuming I'm younger. Is a real pain sometimes to have younger people thinking you are younger than them. Or worse, folks who are just slightly older thinking you are just a whippersnapper they should be able to boss around -- until you bite their heads off

Yeah, 50 sounds so wonderful. I've six years and seven months to go to hit that magic number. At least I've started getting some grays. Here's to staying alive long enough to go totally silver!

7665 days, or 252 months, or 20.95 years. Yep, the big 2-1 coming up on January 15th. I'll finally be able to legally rent a car. Not that I would, its just the only real legal milestone I have left until I hit pensioners age. LOL!

I feel like such a tot, being on here with all you seasoned copywriters twice and even three times my age... Ahh, just more time for me to improve and take over the world with my copywriting! Victory is mine!

What Is a Seasoned Copywriter?

Interesting issue raised here especially seeing that the majority of copywriters couldnt write a school report never mind red-hot, bug-sizzling messages.

There's probably only 3-4 copywriters out of the myriads claiming to be out there now I personally would use. They mostly have diverse backgrounds and certainly NOT from the world of marketing or copy initially.

So what is a seasoned copywriter?

Love, peace and sand

Alan

Well, normally, seasoned involves some paprika and hot sauce... Wait, that's buffalo wings. Wrong thread.

Seriously though, I was mostly referring to those who are more seasoned in life... They've been around the block enough to laugh at a kid like me, with so much still to learn about the world.

And Alan - I hope one day to make that list of copywriters you would hire. In fact, I'm going to make it my mission. Along with the world domination stuff... I can't give up on that... But your list is second on - uh - my list. LOL

It's probably a copywriter who hasn't slept or showered in a few days because they're working around the clock to meet a client's deadline.

Alan, it depends on the niche you're trying to hit. There are some members here who are really strong at writing copy for specific niches. It would be foolish to dismiss them simply because you don't like their writing style. Their success record in that niche would increase the likelihood of getting a winner simply by hiring them.

No one hits out of the park everytime. No one excels at writing copy for every niche, including some of the legendary copywriters.

Raising my coffee cup to you,

Mike

P.S. Alan, feel free to shoot me a PM if you ever need a quote.

I turn 50 next April and am still wondering what I'm going to do when I grow up.
