I'm going to try to be there... don't yet know if I can make it. It happens to be the day of my birthday... so it would be a memorable birthday party for me

So does the rich jerk habitually host networking events that are for men only?

BTW-- I am not against sometimes having gatherings and parties that are exclusive for one gender or other criteria.

As long as its not the norm.

But maybe women need to get on the ball with this and do something similar.

I can personally live without chippendale's or whatever--but I'd love to see some rich jerkette throw a women-only networking event that furthers our wealth-building empires...

I guess you don't know about the whole controversy surrounding this

Lets just say a few female marketers are less than happy with the way this event was presented. Quite frankly, It doesn't bother me (the party part)... I didnt' like how the whole thing was made out to be a "boys club" but then emailed out to tons of female marketers.

So did the marketing strategy work with those women? Or did it bomb?

(I have to admit I found the whole blatant men only message to be bizarre because I have never encountered it before...)

I reckon there will be 100 or so women in attendance so I'm
not sure where you got the idea that it's a male only party.

It would be pretty lame to go the the Playboy mansion and
have a sausage fest with a bunch of dudes.

Plus, many of the guys I know are bringing their wives or
girlfriends too.
