Default Problems Selling Ebooks on Ebay - 05-09-2007, 02:31 PM

I sell several ebooks I have written myself on ebay. I'm on my 6th paypal account over the years. Everytime I open one and get a little money they close it up and they will never accept my social and other info to unlimit it. It's really easy to sell ebooks using paypal. I do have a merchant account that I can use but it's time consuming to collect money and send the ebooks that way. What do you guys think the best way to automate my payments and ebook delivery?
Is clickbank the best and only way?

Why do they close it? I've been using the same account for years and have never had a problem.

I also prefer to use PayPal, because you get your money immediately.

ClickBank is a good second option.

Have you considered getting your own merchant account?

I have a merchant account already, it's just a pain to
send each person that buys from ebay an invoice to pay
and then email the ebook.

Paypal says that my account has suspicious activity.
I've noticed that each time I have an account it's for several
weeks. I get many small payments and as soon as a large
one comes through they limit the account and never turn
it on again. I must have lost 1,000 from to these guys.

I guess clickbank would automate it all for me, but go
to their site it isn't even working today.

You can try another online merchant account and just automate it. Ive bought ebooks where ive been invoiced the second after I clicked Buy It Now. They just use a ebay managment program which manages and sends out invoices automatically. You could very well send people an autoresponder message to go to whichever click bank checkout page they need.

2CO also does online merchant accounts, I dono how much better they are from pay pal but it might be worth a look.

2checkout.com is the 2nd choice among marketers. There are reasons why it is second but I can't enumerate them for you. I'm Paypal 100% right now.

I've been shot down by paypal three times. All for the same reason - suspicious activity. If you dig deeper this includes MLM, ponzi shcemes, etc.

To get around this, I've had to take new credit cards, use friends address for business, and a few other tricks. What it boils down to, is that if they don't like what's on your site when you register your business paypal account they'll close it. Then you're done with paypal.

What I've found is that if your site talks about making money, they get scared and shut you off. They just closed my most recent business account, tied to a business checking. But, they've kept my personal account open.

I've had no luck with paypal and others are in the same boat. Visit PayPal Forums for people and their stories.

Oh yeah, my site talks about copywriting and making more money in your business by better copy.

Maybe someone on the forum can help you and your particular situation. I just stick with my merchant account.

Most of us have sites that are ALL about making money. I've never heard of this. Strange.
