Hey everyone,

I've just come across a new DVD that I've heard being labelled as "The Followup to The Secret"

As far as I can tell, it's all about achieving success by serving and helping others. I'm definitely interested as there are some big names in there, and I'm sure there should be something to learn.

Glad to see that they are adding "action" to the law of attraction. Makes more sense and makes it more palatable for non-"esoterically minded" people.

Just wish they would get rid of the new-agey words like "manifestation".

Many religions do this...

They create their own words and phrases in order to separate themselves from "the world".

If the "secret" folks could get learn to build better rapport by not using this new age terminology, they would their message across a lot quicker and with less effort.

this looks like it will be a little bit more fun to watch than the secret. I think people noticed that the focus on action was left out of the secret.

I don't see what going on as the formation of a new religion. What it is, is a mainstreming of principles. Ones that where normally held to and understood by monks and thinkers. the spirtual insiders.

last night at work i had a discusson about energy with my supervisor. And i wouk in a distribution plant for a clothing company . what is bothering people is the fact this is happening outside a strutured religious setting.

I don't see this as being a "religion" per se, but there are religious leaders that would tell you otherwise.

My point is that anything that resembles "new-age" is going to be criticised and chastised by mainstream religious leaders.

In fact, one of the objections on the Oprah show was from a Christian woman who had concerns about "The Secret" being "anti-Jesus"/"anti-God".

Many mainstream preachers will tell you that this is a form of "self-glorification"

Also, a few months ago I was contacted by a member of this board who told me this stuff is downright "evil".

If you have watched "The Secret" you'll notice that once in a while, the speaker(s) talks in an esoteric language using terminology that you would normally find in new-age circles.

No judgement on my part, just an observation from a guy who pays very close attention to the words others use that's all.

Heck, I guess that pretty much describes everyone else on this board as well?

Bottom line is...

If you want to have more people join in on this wave of profit-building stuff, then you should speak their language and not something that might possibly scare them away.
