Default Sales Genie - 02-06-2007, 08:33 PM

Has anyone ever used Sales Genie (http://www.salesgenie.com) for list selection?

They're a sister company to InfoUSA and they are running a price promotion for the next few days and I was thinking about purchasing a subscription. It's a 12 month contract for $150 per month. You can search the InfoUSA database, the only real difference is the selects are more general then over at InfoUSA (ie, at infousa you can select County, at Sales Genie only metro area).

I was thinking I would use Sales Genie for my own direct mail (or cold calling) campaigns to small businesses.

I welcome opinions and thoughts.

Thanks, MikeC

I love the product. Sales Genie.com is infousa. That is infousa's data that is in the Sales Genie. I have an excellent rep that provides me with his direct number for assitance anytime. Give him a call and tell him I sent you.

Thumbs up Re: Sales Genie - 02-07-2007, 10:14 AM

Mike,

I also love the service and have been using it since 2005. You may need to call in to one of the sales reps and get a personal demo of the service. I only say this because you can search by any geography(zips, counties, streets, msa's, states). Practically any geography you need. The site is almost identical to infousa.com, there are only some minor details missing. Most of your needs to be fullfilled with salesgenie.com. And because of the special pricing I think it would be a wise investment (I pay $300 per month)

My sales rep is Jeremy Dean - 888-999-0580 ext 8931

Good luck

Mike,

Small list building technique using Info USA database.

You may be able access the Reference USA database (info USA) of 14 million businesses and 200 million residents from home through your library.

Our library has outside access with library card.

All the selects are available - NAIC, SIC, City, State, sales volume, # of employees...ect.

Once you have your search done by the criteria you have selected you will have a list of xxx amount of names or businesses.

I am only allowed to print 25 names. So I check off 25 names in the check box and press print.

This will take me to another screen and also pop up my printer selector. Ignore the print selector. left click and highlight select these 25 names. Copy and paste into excel or a text program. Go back deselect those 25 and choose the next 25. Repeat until complete.

Targeting small lists of under 1,000 this has worked for me. Kind of a stealth list building technique.

You can also get a detailed print which lists: the range for yellow page ad spending such as $8,000 - $12,000, credit rating, management contact names, UCC Profile among other info.

Anyways. Hope it helps.

Leo

Thanks Leo, I thought of this.

The only thing is that I can only access ReferenceUSA from inside the library . Even though we have a huge city library, there are only 20 computers (when they are all working) to access it from. Now that it's winter, people are camping out at the computers until their time-limit is up

So I would have to drive (20 minutes, without looking for parking) to the library, pay to park, put my name on the list and wait. Last time I waited 45 minutes for a computer.

$150 bucks a month worth being able to download from home and export to csv file?
