Is it just me or is the internet flooded with big mouthed kids and teenagers (especially teenagers) --
Think a community for adults only is in demand or is it just me (i'm 23) who gets annoyed by these teens running their mouth in all caps and stuff on YouTube and all over the place.

I usually just consider the source. Life is too short to worry about everyone who wants to act "controversial" or like a jerk.
I remind myself of a quote I heard once that goes something like this:
"It's better for people to assume that you're an idiot, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

Actually, I'm a mother of teens. If you listen, they often have something very valuable to say, even if you don't like the way they present the message.
My experience is that "big mouths" are present in all age groups. Why pick on the teens? I may be a little biased here, but I am tired of people picking on this particular age group. It's a tough time of life and if they want to express their angst, let 'em go at it. | | | | | Super Moderator

Haven't noticed it much myself. Might be because your still fairly close in age, to the kids, Maxjohan, that you find them so irritating. Wouldn't be surprised if 7 or 8 years ago twentysomethings were calling you a dumb kid.
I know I was (a dumb kid, that is).
My youngest is only a teen for about 5 more months. I've worked with teens and 20 somethings for many years, so I've got the ability to tune out the silliness. Occasionally one of them says something worthwhile. I try to encourage that when I can.

Kids are kids, they haven't changed much in recent times... just the way we are able to access them more now because of the net...
Besides, on the net people (not just kids) are more prone to speak their minds without any consequence... I see it here on this board every day. | | | | | Copywriter

Hey, I'm 31 going on 15 man!
And I absolutely love it.
I have no intention of growing up... EVER, and
I wouldn't count on them little rugrats doing it
either.
Actually, being so childlike has enabled me to have a huge
advantage in copywriting/marketing.
I still know what is cool to 15 year olds, and can speak
their lingo very well. It had occured to me some time
back to posistion myself as a copywriter who catered to
the 13 - 22 year old demographic. Not too many people
can yoke money from this age range on the net.
But then I realized that was work and went back to swinging
around on the monkey bars.
However, I did do a sales page for a video game client today.
It was actually pretty fun in a way. While doing my sales
detective work I got to play the Nintendo Wii in the mall
for a few hours.
This interactive video game thing is getting out of hand. Pretty
soon they will have video games like "Scores" where you can
go into the strip club and get lap dances. Heck, I imagine they
will even have video games with Brothels and hookers that you
can fondle and it will actually seem somewhat real.
Amazing!
Sweet, I was able to revert to the teenager inside and ran
my mouth while doing so.
