Exclamation New Netiquette Rules - 12-15-2006, 01:32 PM

Hey guys, as you all know, Michel instituted some new "Netiquette: rules in an effort to bring more professionalism to the board.

However, I don't think it should be left entirely up to Michel to help enforce those rules.

Michel can't monitor the board 24 hours a day, so he needs our help.

I think we should all pitch in and help make the board a better place for all of us.

If you see a thread going astray or getting out of hand, politely step in and steer the thread back on track.

If you notice a member being abrasive to another member, PM the offending member and respectfully alert him or her to your concerns.

If you noticed, I used the words "politely" and "respectfully."

Let's always remember to treat each other with dignity and respect.

Don't ever intentionally try to embarass, hurt ot humiliate a fellow member.

Remember, we all have feelings.

This board has a greater collection of talent than any other Internet marketing board.

Let's all pitch in and make this board the most professionally run as well.

"Let's fight against negativity, and promote positivity!"

I think this is also the job of the moderators.

But certainly, we need to do our part and follow the rules that Michel posted yesterday.

Here's my take on it.

Janet, I understand what you're saying.

However, the reason I posted this is because we're all adults here.

We shouldn't have to depend on the "mods," and we shouldn't have to depend on Michel.

Besides, Michel has made it abundantly clear, he would prefer NOT to intervene...so why put him in an uncomfortable position?

We should be proactive, and police ourselves...just like one of those Neighborhood Watch programs.

The petty crap that goes on here isn't allowed to happen on the best boards.

We shouldn't allow it to happen here either.

I'm speaking out because I used to be the biggest offender of all.

Now I'm going to do everything I can to make amends.

It's never too late to start doing the right thing!
