Default What's your goal for 2007? - 10-28-2006, 04:20 AM

Just curious, I wonder what your business
goals are for the year 2007. ??

My "number one" goal has nothing to do with business... it's all about making better connections with my family.

BTW Max, I noticed you've changed your sig file.
Why do you believe anyone else can make you feel stupid?

Don't you know that nobody can make you do or feel "anything" unless you let them. It all about "your" perception.

Here is a direct quote taken directly off of John Assaraf's website... do you think he says this to make you feel "stupid"? I don't think so.

Quote:
“The most wonderful gift one human being can give to another is, in some way, to make that person’s life a little bit better to live.”
By the way, John is one of the successful people in "The Secret" video we've been discussing in other threads.

My goal is to go full time with copywriting and spend more time with the children. I've been teaching college English for seven years, and the "after hours" works chips away at family time. Grading one class assignment in English takes two-to-four hours. Multiply that by five classes with continuous papers streaming in, and you'll see why English professors look so tired!

I watched "The Secret." Loved it. This year, I take control of every aspect of my life. Next year, I'll look back on this year and know I've made the right choices.

Good that you have other motives than money. I respect that a lot. I'm happy with my family situation, I just wish I could give back more financially to my parents one day, yeah I want to be filthy rich before 30 years old. I agree that you are right that you shouldn't be put down easily and I didn't take much thought in my new signature. With that said, it's not much about what I feel it's more about what they want me to feel.

But you are very right about that, we shouldn't feel stupid for doing anything "not normal" for someone else... I've done things and people
have called me an idiot more than once. That was when I was a teenager.

I'm 23 now and rolling on my 24th

Peace

After reading the previous post I realize I forgot to mention one thing: I want to be able to give back financially to my mother. She's had to quit her job to take care of her elderly parents, and she's living on a very limited income. Just this week, I mailed her a check. This, in and of itself, felt wonderful. That was from my copywriting money. I want to continue to do that every month so she won't have to struggle any longer.

For me, it's not all about getting. It's about giving in the years ahead.
