Default Is this the original John Carlton's course - 09-01-2006, 11:39 AM

Hi Guys

Bought the Kickass Course by John Carlton from an eBayer

I took some shots of it, those of you who own the original (as in you bought directly from John Carlton), would appreciate if you could help me verify if it is an original one.

Is this the original?

Shame on you.

It's probably counterfeit.

Where's the rest of the materials.

And you didn't get access to John?

Darn shame.

Sorry I am really "scrooging". What can you expect of a 15 year old who gets less pocket money than all of his classmates? Better than John Carlton who stole Tested Advertising Methods from his colleague!

But seriously, does the course manual u see there on the screen look the same as the original? If it is NOT and should it be a counterfeit, I'll report to eBay. I am looking for second-hand not counterfeit, mind you.

PS: Doesn't mean it didn't came with the "access to John" and the rest of the "other materials" means it's COUNTERFEIT. What a generalization to make.

PPS: Oh btw, I didn't want to buy the "other materials" coz I am on a shoestring budget. Furthermore, I'd be better off investing in the GIST which is the course manual itself

There is no other material and there is no access to John with his "Cheap Date" deal. For $300 bucks (or so) you just get the "book." wordsmith is just wondering if the comb bound "book" is the real deal or whether the seller just copied it and sold it as an original.

(wordsmith, I can't believe you created a "blog" for the pic. Why didn't you just upload it to TinyPic Video and Image Hosting ?)

Wordsmith, please disregard anything that might sound sarcastic in my message. This is not at all my intention.

So, here are some questions for ya'...

Do you really care?

I mean, you bought it without verifying its authenticity right?

So what are you trying to accomplish here?

Are you trying to get a refund or discount from the seller, are you going to become the new watchdog for ebay auctions, or are you simply out for revenge?

I'm not sure what your goal is.

If you are simply buying it for collectors value, then I can understand... but what gives more value?

~~ the paper, binding, and leather or...

what you will "do" with the information you feed your mind?

Perhaps that what you should be focusing on.

It's funny that not ONE person in here could answer wordsmith's question whether the Carlton "book" he bought was the real deal or a bootleg copy.

I think it's because some people don't have it. Others don't want to say it as a courtesy to John.

But I'll say it, because I do own it. And John does lurk on this board

And all I can say is that it "looks" like John's course. But does it come with the extra reports? The Power Words list? Etc?

I'm one of John's "insiders." But I do know that the extra reports, the scuttlebutt cassettes, the newsletter subscription and access to John are priceless. Truly worth it.
