Oh man, he probably got it from Sylvie and I when we met at the last seminar.

Ouch!

Get well soon, Ray.

Yeah,
I did mention that he might have gotten it while at the seminar.

He's been out of pocket for a while now, so hopefully he's in the recovery stage.

Hmmmm...Ray and I were chatting and sitting next to each other during the last few speakers on Sunday of Big Seminar.

Lonnie Ray, if I get some sort of delayed sickness from you, I'm reviving that "which Ray Edwards is which" thread at the Warrior Forum!

Default I just found this thread... - 04-28-2006, 02:10 PM

You guys are so wonderful.

Yes, I have been sick. Better now.

Three visits to the doctor, I finally got some anti-biotics, and only in the last few days do I really feel well again.

Neil Tarvin told me he was out with this for about 5 weeks.

A warning to anyone who thinks they might have this "little bug"...

My doctor says he's seeing people typically take anywhere from 3-6 weeks to recover from it. He doesn't know what it is, but says it seems to start as a virus (they don't respond to anti-biotics) and then often goes bacterial (probably because of all the inflamation and compromised immunity).

I tell you all this to say...don't wait to go see your health care professional about this. In my case, it did not go away all on its own.

And Jay...I don't know if you noticed, but I made it a point not to shake hands because I didn't want to pass this on to anyone else.

Thanks again for the well-wishes.

Ray Edwards

How can a virus become a bacterium? That's like saying that a pig becomes a dog.

?????

Or, are you saying that because your body got worn down by the virus, you then got infested with bacteria?

Anyway, glad you're feeling better.

Jane

Default You have it, Jane... - 04-28-2006, 10:02 PM

My doctor speculates that being battered by the virus weakens your immune system, making one more susceptible to bacteria. In my case, I had definitley developed sinus and ear infections (I don't think you need the graphic details about how we know for sure, do you?)...and possibly (according to the doc) a bronchial infection as well.

The antibiotic produced such a fast result, it was darn near amazing. In fact, I'm ready to write some copy for the antibiotics manufacturer for free.

Thanks for the well-wishes, Jane Ventura.
