Default I made page 1 of Dan Kennedy's newsletter... (^_^) - 04-14-2006, 12:42 PM

Hi everyone - hey it was great to see Dan Kennedy in person here a few weeks ago ... he answered two of my top questions ... also, I wrote him a testimonial note and he just published it (and 3 of my site URLs!) on the FRONT PAGE of his newsletter!

I was thrilled to see it ... anyone else see that? (btw highly recommend you get his monthly newsletter if you don't already) ..

in a celebratory mood,

ken

Ken,

Nice job buddy. I just cracked open my newsletter, and
there you are.

Front Page Too. That's sweet.

Sure hope it has nothing to do with the issue being dedicated
to "Stupidity".

Just kidding.

Way to go man.

Congrats, Ken! I noticed it right away when mine arrived. Plus Dan spent some time talking about the fact that you included all three of your websites, and you were about the only one to do so. You gotta be psyched!

Dan told me a while back that if he had a dollar for everyone who didn't promote themselves, but should have, in any type of communication, he'd be rich (of course he's not doing bad already, so you get the joke).

Can I suggest to anyone here that if you send Dan anything that stands out from the clutter, that he just might feature you in front of tens of thousands of prime marketing prospects? Remember Dan's published response to Jason Cox a year or two ago?

I'm working on mine now. Anyone care to compete for fun?

John

Yes, loved the McDonald's exhibit too! Might I add that in addition to Dan's note that they used an advertorial format but forgot the call to action, they also made their ad layout look like an ad, not a true advertorial. It should use the same fonts, column sizes, and layout as the articles, which it did not.

Hey, I'm getting better at this!

So you guys all subscribe to Dan Kennedy's newsletter -- the $40/month thing-a-ma-jig?

I am mid-course on the 3-month trial and haven't yet decided whether I'm going to keep it up. I have gone back and printed up 2.5 years' of the archives and I'm going through each issue carefully, taking notes, etc. Yes, there's a lot of great material in here. But when I look at it aggregate total, I'm sitting on over $800 worth of product. $800 hard cold out-of-pocket. I don't know that it's worth that.

I have only rec'd one printed issue of this thing in the mail. It was OK, nothing to particularly write home about. I flew through it in about 10 minutes.

I'm sitting here wondering "where's the rest of it?" If I was paying $40 for just that, I wouldn't be a happy camper.

Thoughts?

Bailey

Depends. If you make back your money by implementing the strategies he's teaching, it probably is worth it.

I'll tell you one thing though - Kennedy students are TRAINED.

Bought back issues of Dan Kennedy's 'Look Over Dan's Shoulder' Copywriting program, and there was a mess up. Pete Lillo took care of it amazingly fast and professionally.

I was impressed.

P.S. The 'look over your shoulder' program/back issues are worth every penny if you're thinking of getting 1 copywriting program this year. No theory, just real life $40,000 copywriting projects 'in-the-works' with Dan's insights and comments.

Ken,

Just got my DK mailing, saw your note, page 1, and Dan's comments. Way to go!

I don't get the newsletter, but I'm really curious as to what this was about? Did Jason send him a JV proposal and how did he respond? What happened?

No, Jason sent Dan a testimonial letter like Ken did.
