I will start this thread by asking a question.

I just recieved this email today from a well-known "butterfly" marketer and I want your honest opinion on this...

I won't say who this came from as I'm not into trashing people. I love people all over the globe, but sometimes have a low-tolerance for their (marketing techiques).

I do have to give this "well-known" marketer some credit for trying a new approach.

--I look at this as a "test" of sorts.

So what bothers me after checking this out?

Not trying to sound like a "smugged", "nose-in-the-air" feller, but I felt my intelligence was slightly insulted with this one.

I know that some other great marketers have had similar "Friday-night smash-downs" that were more than entertaining, but...

Let me know what you think about this...

Maybe this is just an extreme way to get this as much publicity as possible (I guess it's working in this thread, isn't it ).

What is "butterfly" marketing - are you selling rare species of butterflies?

"Butterfly Marketing" made a stink...I mean flapped its wings here a week or so ago. You'd think the "butterfly effect" would have stirred things up in U.K. by now. You must be down wind.

I've never heard of it...until I saw the thread in General. Assuming it was just another phase, I didn't pay much attention to it. But I still don't understand what 'butterfly marketing' is. And I'm in the US. Haven't had any spam about it.

I actually got a (recorded) phone call to my cell phone from Mike Filsaime at 7AM my time the day before the launch. I'm not an early riser, and I didn't appreciate that too much. Don't remember giving him my phone number, but I guess I did at some point.
