That was classic!

And you just had to press the third button, didn't you?

Lot's of great stuff there. Just thinking about flow, and building up emotion, then backing off 2 or 3 times for starters.

But did you find the "hidden frame?"
Would you admit it if you did?

Hilarious! And Michael Dorn thrown in there for us Star Trek fans, too!

There's no such thing as too much John Cleese.

Michel,

Very funny ... but did you know John Cleese also does sales training and other business training videos. Search on '"John Cleese" Sales Training' at Google. Thanks for sharing a great, soon to be, infomercial classic.

Best,

Justin

Yup, I knew that Justin. Did you see his site? It's the funniest thing. (Not the impersonator's but John's own, where you click on a map to buy different products from him.)

Funny stuff! I've been a Monty Python fan, too, and I'll let you in on a little embarrasing secret. Just between us tight knit members of this forum---and the rest of the world who's reading this...

When I first heard of John Reese, I had eaten too many powerbars and had too much CranGrape juice in my system. As a result, I mistakenly initially thought John Cleese was an IMer now! Wow! He's come a long way.

Imagine my sheepishness when I realized the truth, only glad I didn't post something about my "revelation" on a forum here or there (and especially on John Reese's marketingsecrets.com site!)

Of course, I can laugh about it now, but for a while, I considered starting the first official "John Cleese" TrafficSecrets fan club.

Yes, I pictured "A Fish Called Wanda" making millions selling the movie via DM and ezine advertising. I had visions of "The Meaning of Life" being represented on John's blog. And "The Flying Circus" was John's marketing team now, spinning out headlines and USPs at equal rates of comedy and English humour (English spelling used).

Seriously though, while I'm kidding about all of that, I really did confuse the two John's when I was learning the players, the gurus, and trying to connect them to people I already were familiar with.

Someday I may post this on John Reese's forum, but for now it'll remain our (and the world's) little secret.

Cheers,

John

P.S. Who here did NOT click on the third button? Brilliant! We know humor is tricky to use in selling, but many times "outrageous" trumps the dull and boring! And I won't even get into the viral marketing aspect...

thx for the link, Michel ... fun site...

Monty Python fans unite! (and benny hill..)..

I've seen "Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail" about 120 times ... usually with liberal amounts of Bombay Sapphire .....(or other stuff, in my younger days)... great pc game too from years ago ...

I know the entire movie by heart, and can quote from it endlessly... (and used to, at work, back in my corporate days, maybe that's why I'm not there anymore)... terrific stuff.

"a Duck!"

"huge tracts o land.."

"what's the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?"

"I'm being repressed!"...

don't get me started...

-Ken

Yes Ken, but what's your favorite color? (You'd better get it right the first time.)
