Default Anybody try GotoWebinar.com - feedback? - 07-07-2008, 10:51 AM

Hi - I'm currently using hotconference for my webinar software; it works well, however I'm looking for a second one, too (as a backup/alternate), and am considering http://www.GotoWebinar.com ...

Have any of you used it? I believe aweber uses it for their events, and am looking for feedback/comments... it needs to have VoIP as well as the ability to show screens... according to the rep I talked w/this morning the latest gotowebinar will have voip ...(ability to voice broadcast w/o phone calls).

(I've tried others like hotcomm but haven't liked them; I'd prefer adobe connect or omnovia, but those gave me price quotes of $8,000+/year, which I don't want to pay).

Thanks,

Ken

Ken,

No experience with GoToWebinar.com or any of the others you mentioned. Have you looked at dimdim.com? I did, briefly, a month or so ago. Didn't have a chance to explore it fully, but I know it has VoIP and screens. You can share your desktop and broadcast via webcam. It's also available in open source and attendees don't need a client.

It's free for up to 20 attendees. Other versions with more features are available and are scalable on attendees, simultaneous users, and price up to 1000 users.

Hi Ken,

I've used gotowebinar in the past. I've had no problems with it and seemed simple to use.

I haven't used any of the other webinar software (I used teleseminars before) so I can't compare the two, but it worked well for me.

Do you have any specific questions about it?

It seems to be a good deal for the price.

I highly, highly recommend GoToWebinar.com.

We tried a bunch of them, including the supposed industry leader (WebEx.com, which sucks and brought us back $12,000).

I love Goto's stuff, and GoToWebinar.com is killer. Better than WebEx and others we tried.

(And especially for the price!)

My 3 cents.

Hi Michel, thanks! It was from you I learned about gotomypc.com, and this looks like a very well-implemented webinar service from the same company.

I tried it out last night after using another one, during a live webinar event I had for my traders, and asked my traders to vote which of the two are better, during the event, and they unanimously picked gotowebinar.com -- and I agree re the pricing is much better than others in the market space, like webex, hotcomm, adobe connect and omnovia. Just 79/month w/annual prepay for up to 1k users, including VoIP and desktop sharing. Superb post-event reporting features and automation re email notifications to attendees as well. I like the "are they paying attention" indicator too.

Plus, the desktop sharing mode is superbly implemented (perfect for live trading demos), works very well. Ok so we have a winner! I'll be using that as my main platform going forward. Also the tech/sales rep I spoke with, Alex, was very very helpful yesterday morning at gotowebinar. Impressive company!

Regards,

Ken
