Hi Andrew,

How do you deal with Aweber's rules forbidding the direct entry of a "subscriber's" contact info? Do you have the subscriber click on the Aweber link when they check their mail at home?

Andrew,

Your idea seems to be unique, and I like your sales page. You give the prospect numerous opportunities to purchase...excellent. Perhaps you could vary your opportunities instead of all Paypal buttons.
May I also suggest you change ebook cover to a book (no binder) and call your product a an ebook (vs. report)...I think you will find that there may be more perceived value. I know content determines the true value, but more perceived value, nonetheless can help make a sale.

I think a report has more perceived value than a book.

It seems, people will pay more for a report stapled together, or in a plain ring binder then for a 'book"

I have not used Awebers mailing program for a while, but I'm pretty sure you can directly enter the email or upload a list of them.

They will still have to confirm by clicking on the confirmation link.

In our retail store, I have an old laptop on the counter, customers enter their own data into this software to be on our mailing list

If you're using double optin you enter the clients name and email address for them (after they've filled in a form that tells them they'll be getting a free gift by email and a follow up email course or tips of some kind).

They still have to confirm so it's all above board and perfectly within Aweber's rules.

Or as Phil suggests you can have a computer screen right next to your prize draw so clients and prospects can enter their details themselves or have your staff help them do it.


I also think that a report has higher perceived value than a book. You can buy books at your local bookstore for $10-$20.

But you might pay $100+ for a special report.



With 800 visitors the sales page for From Offline Store Front To Online Gold is currently converting at 33.38%. (Yes that's a statistically significant conversion rate of over 30%)...

A little side note:

One main reason, we have customers "enter their own" data into a laptop is, it's hard to read their handwriting. (plus we could upload a list of names into our mailing program or order system)

We used to have them write it out on paper (we had a local printer make us a custom note pad with Name, address and email fields on it) but we had to throw many away because of bad handwriting.

And another thing that amazes me is, how many people had a hard time even spelling their own address?

Yup, I totally agree. I helped with marketing at a real estate club and at least 15% of the addresses were so badly written that we had to throw them away also. Cheers.
