Never mind the fact that a sample of one is too small to prove anything. Dude, if you believe stretching does something for you, or if you find it feels good, do it.

The rest of us will rely on the results of 361 actual scientific studies:

Stretching Doesn't Prevent Injury

Quote:
Stephen B. Thacker, director of the epidemiology program office at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention conducted a study that reviewed 361 research studies on stretching. The results, published in the March, 2004 issue of Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise® (MSSE) concluded there was no evidence that stretching before or after exercise prevents injury or muscle soreness.

Now this is my kind of guy!

CCBill Credit Card, Check, Phone Processing and E-Ticketing for online merchants is the largest player in the field.

Been around for like 10 years too. But it's still like $1000 to set up because of VISA and 11-13% is the lowest you can get because of the higher risk aka chargebacks and such.

Another one is Epoch - Your Worldwide Billing Solution - Index - they are just as big if not bigger.

Those two also have great advanced affiliate program functions - far better than 90% of mainstream creditcard processors.

There is lots of money to be made in adult if you have
mainstream backgoround in marketing.

Collect emails, copywriting. There is no one doing anything like that in adult.

Tons of traffic too.

I've seen the stats quite recently from one of the bigger solo girls (single girl) sites and she banked over $5000 in new sales in ONE day. On top of that she had more than $4000 in reccurring income that day. SO that's almost $10,000 that she split 50% with her affiliates.

Not too shabby for a 25 year old single girl.

Of course she's like one of the top 5% of single girls but the income is phenominal if you have some kind of personality and marketing skills.

Peace
Peace

P.S. No I'm not some sick perv just because I've been involved in this industry but there is tons of weirdos and party-goats in adult that's for sure.

Thanks for the resources.

For the record, I'm not getting into porn. But Paypals terms of service are conservative enough that I don't want to risk my entire account for this.

I could probably get away with what I'm doing but I'd hate to get dumped.

CCbill or Epoch are both very good choices. Even if it's cost you $1000 you will not be dissapointed. The stats are great and you can have bonus days for your affiliates and so on without any problems. They also pays like clockwork, atleast CCbill I have personal experience with.

So I admit I have been involved with adult, what drove me away was the mentality of most people. It was hard to find good guys there and honest people that think about business more than throwing parties or banging their own models.

I like down to earth people more that haven't lost touch of reality. So that's why I'm hanging here now and on the WF.

Saw that Subtle. If that's true, makes me kind of wonder why Prostrate Cancer is even a disease at all!

When I was younger I used to take gymnastic lessons (the floor exercise kind, to supplement my martial arts training). One thing I remember is that most people who stretch do it wrong. They bounce, which is actually detrimental. And I agree about the need to warm up the muscles a bit before stretching. Cold muscles don't stretch well, and it you push them that way, you're liable to do more harm than good in the long run.

But if you warm up properly, stretching is always a good idea before you exercise vigorously.

(Didn't mean to hijack the thread, Barry!)

Hey, don't sweat it, John.

What's a little hijacking among ol' friends.

And you're right ,every trainer I've ever worked with said bouncing will surely tear something sooner or later.

(from Bruce's stretching study)

Should You Stop Stretching?

The CDC study concluded that there wasn't sufficient evidence to recommend people stop stretching, nor was there good evidence to suggest people start using stretching. The bottom line - if stretching feels good for you, continue to do it. If you don't like stretching, put that time into some warm-up and balance exercises instead.

Sounds like a sound conclusion to a worthwhile study - (clears throat)

For me, these conclusions don't sway me one way or another. I think I'll stick to what I know works. Just commenting here - not looking for a debate.

Some take it more seriously than others.

Glad there's one who is on his way to beating it.

(RE: keep stretching) Which is exactly what I told you to do, keep stretching if it felt good to you. That's a benefit, right? Just didn't want you to be under the illusion that you got any OTHER benefits from it.

As to a testimony saying, "Stretching works because I never got injured after stretching." That's just bad logic.

As to the study conclusion, it was obviously a controversial study, just take a look at your response. Obviously, the conclusion was couched in the language it was for fear of upsetting the establishment. I agree it's not scientific and you certainly wouldn't see me writing the same conclusion.
