No offence but it doesn't sound easy

ie:
Fork out up to $700 + cash
Spend time analysing and adopting principles and proceedures of the programs purchased

= Not easy

Easy = doing something that involves a single stroke and sitting back and letting it happen. Details of how you can get Free Ads here.

or better still, sitting back while someone else does the work.

Now option 1 is what I was hoping to find when I followed the link. However you did yourself adopt one 'easy' method of generating traffic that doesn't get a mention. ie. Posting your web link for us to follow rather than posting the details here for us to read. Now that IS easy. Why isn't it in your list ?

Meanwhile re your list:

A reccomended system is better than taking your chances so I shall bookmark those items all the same. Thank you. Meanwhile I shall remain on the look out for 'easier' systems

When I have it I shall call it :

Traffic generation tool that is easier than Ricky Breslin's system

Those are good ways for people who have money to spend in order to make money, but what about those that don't have money to spend, Try these 4 ways:
1. Use google research tools to find "hot" trends
2. Use forums to find out what people are saying about the hot trends
3. Become an affiliate with someone who has a product that meets the needs of the hot market.
4.Use social networking sites to promote the product

You can do all of this for free.

I'll say that Ricky's methods aren't for someone that has no money but if you can scrape together some money, then those suggestions are pure gold.

Hey it's like this, there are some free methods for making some money on the net and then there are methods that one can use for making much bigger money on the net. It's not like Ricky's suggestions are going to take ten's of thousands to implement-- because they aren't. Heck, if someone had no money to invest in marketing their business-- I'd tell them forget starting a business on the net and get a part-time job first, save up some money and then start your business.

But make no mistake, Ricky knows how to make money on the net-- don't take his suggestions lightly.

And most of the "free" traffic methods require a high time investment. If you value your time at $100/h+ then very few of them stack up against paid traffic methods.

It's not just the time investment but the actual discipline it takes to spend those countless hours doing all those things. And most people don't have the discipline. They'll write and submit a half-dozen articles to article directories but then they realize how much less painful it would be to just jab an ice-pick in their right ear...

I agree with Michael and Kyle. I find myself less and less willing to spend huge amounts of time doing things that will take a lot of time to see results from. I'd prefer to pay for something (within reason) to see results NOW (or shortly :P).

I already have Perry Marshall's AdWords guide, so I'm a step ahead there.

I know nothing about Stephen Pierce's traffic program. What does he teach in that? Do you have to spend a lot of money or an insane amount of time implementing it?

For example, I know that article marketing is powerful and I'm doing it. But I'm also NOT going to spend huge amounts of time writing 10's of 100's of articles. My time is far too valuable for that. I'd prefer to pay someone else to do it for me if I find that I need 10's or 100's of articles.

I'm targeting two specific niches and am thinking about creating two versions of my site completely customized for those niches (including domain names). I'm still working on my product/service and structuring my offer. But once I'm done with that, I'll be looking into generating serious traffic. Maybe some of this would help me.

Even if I couldn't afford all of it at once, I might start with one of them and go from there. I'd appreciate some more info about what Stephen Pierce's traffic program talks about.

Reese's Traffic Secrets is no longer available and Carlos and Lupe Garcia's traffic program just isn't to my taste at all. I'm not interested in buying ads like that and trying to get insane amounts of credit with different web ad companies.

So how does Stephen Pierce's traffic program work for solo service providers like us? Does it talk about generating target market traffic? 'Cause unless you're selling cable boxes like Carlos and Lupe or Viagra like the spammers, you're NOT going to benefit from general traffic!

Thanks for the input!

Michelle

Bum marketing and article marketing comes to my mind and I totally don't get those methods. Specially when you see some "Squidoo Queen" or whatever telling you to work on Bum marketing to make your riches. I don't know how to put it but I feel annoying that they teaches how to work your ass off instead of less time consuming and profitable methods.

On a second thought, I guess they like writing.

Peace

Is article marketing powerful, if so what do you regard as a result?

I am read (in article terms) nearly 3000 times weekly from just two sites (not to mention the rest which brings it to around 4000+) and yet the referrals from those sites are very little compared to that number. A handful a day for example.

Meanwhile most article sites dont allow affiliate links etc, so how do you make article writing pay over using your own blog/site to draw the traffic?

I get more traffic from Google and links on others sites than I do from article submissions and my submissions are unique to those sites, they are not duplicated content which Google hates.

Ideas of how to make article writing do more would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Leah
ps If I can't get a decent level of traffic when I am on the front page of these sites every day (excpet when I need a break) then who the heck can?

I either read it here or somewhere else that article writing is a big waste of marketing time.

Maybe it depends on the target audience you are trying to reach, but somehow the idea of online article submissions just doesn't resonate with the little intuitive voice inside my head.
