Default "It's Either One Or The Other, You Either Have The Eye Or You Don't" - 01-21-2007, 11:27 PM

If you want to learn the details, read this letter instantly...

"It's Either One Or The Other, You Either Have The Eye Or You Don't"

How can I make such claims?

Simple: I newly realized my only business advantage.

It's not an easy task I'm putting myself in to but with the help of my 4 employees i think i will succeed. I know what you are thinking and that's exactly why i will succeed and grow a striving business. My business is located in Sweden by the way and the name of my web site you ask me?

It's CompanySold.com.

I'm going to do whatever i can to make this web site the one priority when it comes to business gossip from yours truly. Now back to the part to when i said "i know what you're thinking". Now here is when it gets a little bit tricky. You see, i'm lazy and very stupid and it's cold outside. But i have one advantage most people don't have that are in business...

"My Instincs Are Like Something Taken From The Sixth Sense Movie"

I know what works, i know what people want buy, i can spot the fake picasso's and so on. But i can't create, handle or build the thing myself, i need other people, otherwise i will just keep dreaming.

You know, the sixth sense is not about me really, it's about people and how we are all different. I don't talk much at all, i haven't been for a party for almost four years. Can you say gone-with-the-wind?

I need my employees to work for me, i need that secure safe spot in my office and because my attention spawn is short i can't find structure in my life. I think my braincells is slowly dieing because of all this.

Now, let's talk about something else. Let's talk about most people reading this letter. Outvert people. I have my friend Jim at the office and without him nothing had ever been done. He's constantly pushing himself and others to the limit. A work-a-holic. He's as social as anyone can be and he can focus on tasks. He's like this all the time, he's a warrior. He gets things done right away too.

Now, there is two dis-advantages with Jim. He doesn't have the eye for what truly works and sells. He thinks the most important thing is to get it done. Not get it done right and make my company the most profits possible. I don't want to say that Jim is arrogant but i think he has a hard time seeing the wrongs in his work and taken critizism for that.

Think you can recognize yourself in one of this people. Infact, you are either Jim the Warrior or Me.

Now, who do you rather want to keep as an employee if you had to choose. ?

If you answered Jim the Warrior who doesn't get everything perfect then you are dead on!

Why?

Because you can't run a company without braincells and logic. You truly can't run a company on instincs only and hope the company will sail. No, if you have to choose you must always take the logic thinker and the outvert person that get things done.

What about invert people?

Without invert people the sales numbers for large companies had not been what they are today. Some people just know what works, better than others.

It's pretty damn simple really:

Invert people improves the world, while outvert people make the improvement. -

You got 6 seconds to catch your reader and this letter doesn't do it.

I'm very reluctant to criticize when I know that English is your second language. God knows if I tried to write this in Swedish, it would look a whole lot worse.

That said, you say the idea behind it is good. I am having a hard time finding out what the idea is.

You say you're going to "tweak it and add some parts". I'd say tweak it by removing parts, not adding them. In the words of Blaise Pascal: "I made this letter very long, because I did not have the leisure to make it shorter."

Here's another formula:

1. Tell them what you're going to tell them.
2. Tell them
3. Tell them what you told them.

That was my problem too. I actually gave it around 15 seconds and still had no idea what was being promised.

I can rewrite that letter in 3 sentences:

There are two kinds of people in the world: Hustlers and Workers.
The Hustlers never work and the Workers never hustle.
I am a Hustler.

Yeah, I'm going to remove parts, the begining i have already removed. I know it's not clear what im selling here but you need to keep in mind that this is my first letter... and this was an partly an article partly an salesletter

I will use your formula and be even more upfront
and make things CLEAR here.

Thanks.
