In an essay by Michael Kinsley, TIME Magazine (6-23-200

, he discusses
the two political candidate's promise not to 'swift-boat' each other and
run a clean campaign ... Great read.
What caught my attention was this line towards the end of the article:
"People tell pollsters they are sick of nasty politics, then they respond to it every time."
Kinda remind me of copywriting ain't it?
People who say they are sick of popups, red headlines, hypey copy, etc,
etc, and then they respond to it every time.
What people SAY and how they behave can be light years apart.
Copywriters must go with BEHAVIORS not polls.
