Default Recorded Message Options - 05-16-2008, 04:03 PM

Anyone have any recommendations on the best way to have a recorded message where people can leave their contact info after listening to a short (30-60 second message)?

I was thinking of contacting my local telephone company but wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with internet companies or other options.

The best company I've worked with is Automated Marketing Solutions. Here's a link:

Default Look at " ConnectMeVoice" - 05-17-2008, 11:02 AM

I was thinking of contacting my local telephone company but wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with internet companies or other options.
I used to have my vanity 877 # with AT&T, which ran $30 /month to have it forwarded to my voicemail plus usage. I had to have a dedicated line for the number.

About a year ago, I got smart, started shopping around, and found a company called "connectmevoice dot com"

What i really like about this -is for my recorded line and fax numbers - the service emails me a MP3 file for voicemails, or a pdf for faxes.

Messages are also archived in a secure control panel.

So the voicemail comes to your email! You don't even need a real line - and if you need a phone number (800 or whatever) you can get one through them...

Starts at $9.95/month.
Here's the description: and this is a non-affiliate recommendation.

"A hosted voicemail service" with unlimited capacity, web and e-mail message delivery and fax mailbox capabilities! Enables you to enjoy all the voice messaging features you need to keep your business at peak efficiency without the cost and complexity of a hardware-based phone system...

If you're looking for a toll-free #, you might want to check out GotVMail.com

I know JP Maroney uses them too, and I did quite a bit of research on rates, features, etc., before settling on them. I've used them on and off for the last several years for everything from collecting audio testimonials to what you're looking to do.

They start out at around $10/month, and you can always add/remove features as you need them. For example I once set up a survey where I recorded several questions, and callers answered after each one. Then the answers got strung together, and I could download them right from their website.

I've used gotvmail and liked it. Used it multiple times and never had a problem.

Plus I can listen to it online. Good deal for the price. Plus you get a local # if you want.
