Jason has given you an excellent path to start down. But I wanted to comment on your idea that you need to "Make a freakin ebook." Chances are you're overwhelmend by that idea. It's because you have a big question mark in your head as to whether the ebook you write will fill a need in its niche and sell.

That question mark is your good instinct saving you from possibly making a costly mistake. Writing the ebook is not the place to start. The first thing to do is choose a niche. Web design seems like a natural. Then start building a list. You know all about that... A newsletter, tips, anything useful, in exchange for an email address. Then let your list tell you what need you can fulfill for them... and there's your product.

Once you've done that, you won't be hesitant to get going on it because you'll know there's a starving crowd waiting to get their hands on it.
