Does anyone have experience with using an ad in the form of articles. I don't necessarily mean posting them all over ezinearticles.com and all the other like sites. I mean if you're actually paying for an ad space (let's say Adwords) and intead of using the headline:

"We guarantee an increase in sales"

you use (both in the ad and the landing page):

"5 easy ways to increase your sales"

I can see this getting a lot of click throughs, but I'm wondering about the conversions...will it draw a lot of freebie-seekers.

Perhaps it would be cheaper to test under a CPM model instead of a PPC system.

You can probably find information on this by searching this board for "advertorial" or "editorial" style copy.

That's how people call the approach you're referring to.

I'm seeing very few threads where people used it online...drawing visitors from traditional online ads, and displaying a magazine type article layout on the landing page.

JP mentioned he was planning to do it and show some of his results, but I couldn't find subsequent posts about it from him.
