I think we talked about this before... but here's the hook:
If you know how to market and create sales (which very few people know how to do) then you don't need anything like this.
Neb... you know how to market and write copy and all that stuff, so it makes no sense to pay for the deal you're talking about when you have the ability to (most likely) blow them out of the water.
But for the other 99% of the population who doesn't have a clue about how to get business and make sales... it might be a decent deal.
The trick to success is getting the business. If you can do that then you're home free. If not then you're in a leaky boat.
There is more to running a successful business than that (obviously), but it is usually the turning point in a business.
When I had a cleaning business I was amazed at how residential cleaning companies would try getting business. Some knock door to door. Others would pass out a flyer with their name and number (and that is it). Then you would call them up and no one would answer... or they couldn't speak English.
So while you have the ability to pull in sales... most others (especially those likely to be competing in a business such as that) aren't going to have a clue.
Think of it like this too... Many people are blown away by Dan Kennedy's Magnetic Marketing. But we think of it as second nature (at this point).
I am in contact with real estate agents and other business professionals and owners all the time. Many times I'll give them a little piece of advice to help their business out (if we get along) and it will completely blow their minds. I don't think twice about it.
After all the businesses I've owned, and after hearing others talk about it, I am in full agreement with this... Being an expert in business is much more important than being an expert in (enter biz here).
So that's why Trump is much more likely to have a successful business than an attorney who decides to branch out on his own and start his own law firm or any other employee who decides to become a business owner. Being an expert in your business doesn't translate into running a successful business. |
