Red face Autoresponders and Price Points - 01-13-2008, 09:18 PM

Hello all,

Thinking about setting up an autoresponder for a client but the price he's offering for entering a member site is only $4.97.

Question ... do you think all the extra contact from an autoresponder would offer additional motivation at this price point, or should he just leave the sales page as a stand alone?

It couldn't hurt a thing, Rachel. Some people need time to think about things, and since it IS a membership site, that $4.97 is just the beginning so it is a bigger decision.

I say yes, but get the optins from an exit pop, after they are leaving the site.

Hi Rachel,

Bruce makes good points. Assuming you mean $4.97 per month, the hurdle is the commitment. I've found it helpful to offer value in the autoresponders - “The 7 secrets to blah blah” to build confidence in the value of membership.

It doesn't hurt to reiterate the ease of cancelling membership in the ARs either.

Good luck,
