Default Examples of Outstanding Sales Pages for Coaching Programs - 01-11-2008, 07:25 PM

Hey Folks,

I'm putting together a brand new coaching program that will launch in connection with the release of my new book, "IMPACT: How to Get Noticed, Motivate People and Make a Difference in a Noisy World."

Eventually the program will be offered at my new site about impact:

http://TheImpactFactor.com

Naturally, I'm going to need to write (or have written) a great sales letter for the coaching program. Since I'm a big fan of modeling success, I'm looking for some examples of OUTSTANDING copywriting SPECIFICALLY designed to market business coaching programs.

Since the copywriters on this board have written most of them, I figure you are the best people on earth to ask.

Can you point me to examples of outstanding copy in any of the following formats that are specifically written to sell coaching or mentoring services:
  • Long-Form Standard Sales Page
  • Short-Form Opt-in Pages (with or without video)
  • Autoresponder Sequences
  • Catalog Style Listings with Descriptions
Many thanks for your suggestions. I appreciate the chance to look at your outstanding work!

All the best,

Ken

Have you tried searching Google for the names of coaches you respect? I would think you should be able to find some good sales pages that way.

Hey Alex,

Yes, I've definitely looked at lots of coaching sales pages.

I actually keep a list of bookmarks for sales pages that I like. I'm really fishing for the cream of the cream copywriting examples and I know that the people here know who where they are.

Many thanks for your suggestion!

All the best,

Ken

Ken,

Here's our own Michel Fortin's coaching program salesletter (which I've personally subscribed to since its inception).

Take Your Copywriting, Your Business And Your Life to The Next Level... And Beyond!

Others like David Garfinkel I don't believe have a sales page. He goes by referrals. I know because I've talked to him about it. Folks like Dr. Harlan Kilstein occasionally have openings, but they're rare, and I don't believe has a sales letter either. When openings become available, you have to be on his list to get notified, and even then those spots go fast.

But Michel, being the great copywriter he is, does have this stellar salespage about his coaching. Hope that helps.

John

Thanks John!

Just to be clear, I'm looking for outstanding examples of copywriting for ANY business coaching or mentoring program, not just copywriting ones.

I really appreciate the link to Michel's page!

Hope to see you again VERY soon John!

All the best,

Ken

ACQYR | Coaching - Personal and Professional Coaching - Stress, Conflict and Life

This isn't the normal DR approach, but I like that way the intro goes. Every time it talks about the client, it links the statement to coaching. You don't see the page talking about 'us' at all.

This guy has been on this forum before, and I did some work with him for a while.

Is it just me, or should the sales page have audio?

Ken, perhaps the best sales letters for you to get are the ones that cause YOU to want to buy the service that the coach offers.

I don't mean one where you think that you'd buy the service if you needed it.

I mean one that makes you froth at the mouth and feel a sense of urgency to buy. Or a letter that makes YOU fearful of the consequences of NOT buying the service that it's offering.

Then, you'll know what letters are powerful.

Thanks Folks,

I have to admit, I haven't seen anything yet that just SCREAMS outstanding.

I know that copywriting is personal and that means a wide variety, but people know outstanding when they see it.

I just saw two broadway shows this weekend (Chorus Line and Mama Mia) both musicals, but with different styles.

Every time I see a Broadway show I compare the feeling with the one that I had when I went to see 42nd street. When I walked out of the show I was reeling with the quality of the dancing. Wow! I could hardly believe that it was possible to be that good.

Now every Broadway show is outstanding. Believe me, performers don't make it to Broadway unless they are pretty darn good at SOMETHING. You may not like the style, and some are definitely better than others.

In fact, the standouts on Broadway are show stopper good. They knock you flat on your face wondering what hit you.

What I would LOVE to see are the Show-Stopper Examples of Sales Copy. Not just the good ones, but the one's that make your jaw drop.

Think what we can all learn from them.

All the best,

Ken

Ken,

I am not sure the analogy with Broadway applies. Here are some thoughts.

People don't sign up for coaching programs to have an experience, to be blown away and have fun. They sign up because they have a need and because they trust and admire the coach.

In addition, Broadway plays and musicals are usually designed so that you can buy a ticket and enjoy it, whatever your background. No prior relationships in the background.

Successful coaching programs are usually building on a relationship between the target market and the coach. You wouldn't necessarily see or understand that bond in the sales letter.

If I think back to the coaching programs that have powerfully tempted me, they did so because I greatly admired the coach before I saw one word of their sales letter. I didn't sign up because I didn't feel a strong need for it, though. That was something within me.

I once asked someone who has a successful $25,000 coaching program if people sign up after reading about it online. He said no, never. Without exception, everyone who has joined his $25,000 coaching program had heard him speak in person. He does have a sales letter for the program on his site, but it's not his primary sales tool. So if you went and looked at it, you would be missing the key ingredient that enables it to help clinch the deal for him - the relationship existing before the prospect read it.
