One I haven't seen here yet is 'The Long Tail' by Chris Anderson. Although not exactly a marketing book, it really opened my eyes to how many different niches there are out there.

Man I've got a lot of readin' to do...

Hi youngsequan,

Indeed. "The Copywriter's Handbook" by Robert Bly is a classic. It's one of the first books I purchased to being my education in copywriting (and I'm happy I did.)

I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a solid resource to understanding the science behind copywriting.

Best,
Dhane Diesil

I thought 12 Month Millionaire was a great intro to direct marketing. Both nuts n bolts informative as well as entertaining.

This is an awesome thread as I am an info-junkie for marketing and business development.

I have been told Jay Abraham's stuff is awesome, but also pretty spendy.

Have you read the books from the Vital Smarts folks?

Not directly "marketing" books, but definitely applicable in marketing.

If you can communicate like a Jedi master, you can amp up everything you do, including your marketing skills.

My all time favorite is "Crucial Conversations."

I read a lot, and that book is currently ranked #1 on my list.

His book is $15 and covers a lot of what he talks about. Worth the money if you want to spend it.

So I just finished Jay Abraham's Getting Everything You Can Out Of All You've Got and I think it is a winner. In fact I bet I'll be reading it again and again to ensure that I get all the concepts. It isn't anything a lot of people don't know but if you actually applied all of the concepts I bet this one single book would make you more successful than you think.

Now on to the next one.

It was a quick glance through the thread and I hope I didn't miss it but if you haven't, everybody needs to read Copywriters Cheat Sheet by Ben Settle.

I highly recommend it.
