Default This Is A Cool Lookin' Direct Mail Piece - 09-07-2006, 10:04 AM

I received this cool looking direct mail piece on Tuesday. Even though clear plastic envelopes have been around for awhile, this is the first time I received one. The envelope is 9.75" x 6" and you can see the top half of main "memo" sales letter clearly from the back of the envelope.

The letter is personalized (see all the areas that I've blacked out) throughout with my first name, biz name and first and last name. The coffee stain is printed on.

There was also a short "handwritten" personalized note.

How could anyone not open this unusual direct mail piece?

Mr. Subtle CAN be bought (from time to time):

I got that one too.

That's funny... I thought they called me "The Midwife"...

Any idea what list you are on to have recieved this mail piece?

The persoanlization of this piece is a brilliant use of digital printing, but my favorite feature is the coffee stain that matchs perefectly on both sides.

I'm pretty sure it's the TARGET MARKETING list since they have always spelled my first name wrong. I don't think it's the DIRECT list.
