Default Question about marketing - 01-17-2006, 06:58 PM

Hello,

I just received my postcards in the mail, and am going to start sending them out tommorrow.

On the card I phrased that I could "help them double their response rate."

My husband was concerened that I used such a strong guarantee especially since I have not had clients as of yet. So his question was is their something that the clients would do such as law suits if the ads didn't double their response?

Any guidance on this would be great.

Nothing will get done if you just think about it. Take action.

Why don't you post low res scans or images (you should have proofs from your printer, eh?) of the front and back of the post card so we can see what you're talking about -- how it's worded, etc.

That would help...

On to (partially) answer your question -- I'm asking a question:

"You don't have clients" but does that mean you have not had any "Success" with your copy -- for anyone?

Have you done any freebies, written successful stuff for a former employer, or anything?

Even if you haven't had any formal clients yet, you could also plug the "Hey, I'll lighten your load for no up-front cost" angle. That way, they can't lose, you are covered, and you still may get some interest.
