Default Directing more traffic to your blog - 07-10-2008, 12:48 AM

I want to share this site with all of you who blog on a regular basis:

technorati dot com

If you want more people to visit your blogs, it's worth it to sign up.

Here's a snippet from their website:

Currently tracking 112.8 million blogs and over 250 million pieces of tagged social media.

Technorati is the recognized authority on what's happening on the World Live Web, right now. The Live Web is the dynamic and always-updating portion of the Web. We search, surface, and organize blogs and the other forms of independent, user-generated content (photos, videos, voting, etc.) increasingly referred to as “citizen media.”

Check it out!

This might help too.

I've heard good things about this.

Technorati is a fantastic way to get backlinks to your blog.

And speaking of the Evergreen Traffic System the expert sharing her secrets in that system...Tinu Abayomi Paul...was recommending technorati years before most people had heard of it.

Tinu is the queen of blog SEO...no one else even comes close.

A few more tips on getting traffic to your blog:

1. Use an exit page on all your opt in and sales pages with links to your best, most relevant blog posts.

2. At the end of each blog posts put enticing links to other related blog posts.

3. Also at the end of each blog post have an email opt in form and give your readers and enticing reason to sign up.

That builds you a list and even if you have nothing to sell you can send your subscribers to more of your blog posts.

You can get a free video and report on this strategy here...
Copywriting: Unblockable Exit Pages FREE Report And Video

The report goes into much greater detail on how to increase the sticking power of your blog.

Kindest regards,
Andrew Cavanagh

Yes, one of the great features I like with WordPress is the list of Update Services (in the Writing section of the Settings) that are automatically notified when you post new content.

In my list is Ping-o-Matic (plus about 12 others), which includes Technorati in the list of services that automatically gets notified (and I see the Technorati Bot often in my stats). My Technorati rank is quite abysmal (4.3M) but it does index my posts straight away.

I saw an excellent live presentation in May on Web 2.0 traffic generation but I don't have a link to further info, sorry. It had lots of good ideas that I hadn't yet heard of ... if I can find more info I'll post it!
