Default Which headline would you use? - 05-06-2005, 04:15 PM

I posted this in the wrong thread yesterday....

Hey all!

After reading John Carlton's blog on "expert vs. nobody" style copy, I decided to split test my headlines on my site.

I wanted to ask of your opinions as well, while the stats from my split test come in.

Here's my question... which angle do you feel would pull best when selling a fitness book ... fitness expert vs. average guy?

First headline...

"Finally, All-Star Personal Trainer And Natural Bodybuilder Reveals Proven Secrets That Give You An "Unfair Advantage" For Gaining Muscle Quickly And Naturally... Showing You, Step By Step, How To Pack On 15, Even 20 Pounds Of Lean, Rock-Hard Muscle -- In Just 9 Weeks!"

Second Headline...

"Finally, This Personal Trainer, Natural Bodybuilder, And Every-day "Average" Guy Gives You An "Unfair Advantage" For Gaining Muscle Quickly And Naturally... Showing You, Step By Step, How To Pack On 15, Even 20 Pounds Of Lean, Rock-Hard Muscle -- In Just 9 Weeks!"

Sales letter currently pulls 2% with the 2nd of the headlines above, just started testing 1st headline.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Shawn,

I think i'd go with the second one... the reason being most of your prospects are likely not 'pros'. If an 'ordinary' guy can pack on so much muscle, so can they.

In any case, your testing will determine the winner.

Good luck,
