Guys, thank you so much for your comments.
Now, see my feedback on YOUR feedback below.
1.
Vince and Marcia,
I completely agree with you, guys, regarding the offer.
I was a bit concerned about it myself.
There was no "WOW" factor in it. No thrill. No appeal.
But it is up to the client to come up with something extraordinary (a Free Report, Free CD, Free BMW

, etc.) And my job is to articulate it.
I was about to provide some of my ideas and suggestions...but he said the card hadn't hit the mark and called it quits. Some other writer, who is better familiar with the company, will complete the project. Maybe it's someone on staff. The good thing is...I got paid!!

You are so sweet. I'd better learn some French

The only thing is: your headline a bit too long. It should
be more specific, and should imply branding. But I surely appreciate the effort. Thank you!
3. Creative,
Good to see you again.

I liked the bullets. Nice work. Well-written and convincing.
Here is my take: The headline is a bit too long. In my opinion.
And there is too much text, too many words.
It is a postcard. Should be very brief and succinct. The biggest challenge
is to incorporate the most essential points in a few small sentences.
We don't have enough space. That's why it took me such a long
time to put it together.
I LOVED "The black hole of obscurity"! This was great!
But might not be appropriate for a promotional postcard,
where the wording should be simple and straightforward.
I tried that type of thing in my first endeavor, and the client said:
"Too cutesy for my taste. Rewrite!"

I like the idea of testing.
BTW, this was the first thing I mentioned to him in our conversation.
But he will be sending it to a small number of local businesses.
About 500 of them.
So, the idea of testing does not appeal to him. But I am glad you liked
my card. If YOU need a copywriter some day, you know where to find me.
To make it short, he was not happy. But I feel like I am in business!
Even if something does not work out the first time, it will keep getting
better and better with each effort. Applies to everyone.
