Default Homeshow Daily Launching New Store in SLC - 01-02-2008, 09:12 PM

Hi

I am pretty new to this site and i'm hoping to get a critique of our latest sales letter. We have already sent this out and with our initial list we saw a 5% response. We are looking for ways to make this even more effective. Our target audience is home improvement contractors and we have been sending this out through first class mail and through USPS priority mail. We saw a much higher response with the priorit mail.

Here is the link:

I look forward to hearing back from you and thanks in advance for any response.

Hey Jim,

Welcome to the party.

Three things...

1. As I read the letter, the main question I had in my mind is, "what's the catch?"

What's in it for you? How can you manage to do this when all the advertising I've ever tried for my home improvement contracting biz fell flat on its face?

What's the catch? Be upfront... transparent... THEN you can wine and dine me

2. Also, if the priority mail got you a response boost, why not try mailing in a fake priority envelope from someone like Envelopes.com -- Direct Mail Services, Envelopes and More! -- Home

3. What are the next steps in your sequence AFTER they get the initial letter?
