Default Please tear apart my pre-sell - 10-17-2006, 09:44 AM

Hi There,

I'm new to the board, so I feel a bit sheepish asking for a critique right away, but I will definitely try to both "give and take" during my time on the board.

This is a pre-sell for AdWords Miracle that I've been trying to hone:

AdWords Miracle Uncovered... Scam or Slam?

Please tear it apart. I love copywriting, and I want to improve, so be honest.

Thanks,

Deertrail

It's okay. This approach is intriguing, so consider posting your progess as part of the give and take.

Of course there's the obvious ..no testimonials, blah blah.

I think it takes too long to outline the problem. Some earlier subheads would be a help. Headline does explain the pain, but you have to follow up quickly with the promise of relief.

Thanks, John,

What's intriguing about it?

I appreciate your comments about it being a bit long, lack of subheads, testimonials, etc.

I haven't had too many visitors to it yet, so I don't have any idea of how well it will convert. I'll let the board know!

Any other critiques out there?

I call this a "name dropper." And it has an expose twist. Joe Polish once had an article in a trade journal -- is he an angel or devil? When you have a lot of keyword stuffing with a certain keyphrase, especially a well known name, this is an interesting tactic.

Dropping names can be tricky, however.
