Default Need opinions - Server side program to monitor web page performance. - 10-12-2006, 10:21 AM

Greetings:

In truth, I should want a critique of the product as well as the copy on my landing page.

The product is a server-side application I developed a few years ago that keeps count of clicks on selected links on web pages. The reason I developed this program was because I want to confirm that these so-called "Traffic Wholesalers" who promise lots of visitors to your web site for $29 were really scam artists. That I was being taken.

This is explained in detail on Web Page Link Activity Monitoring.

One benefit of keeping count of clicks on selected links on web pages is that you can see if your web pages are actually read. It is the best way I know of to learn whether typical visitors actually scroll down your pages and read or do they just "surf on". You can tell in real time how your web pages are performing - hence the headline:

"How Well Are Your Web Pages Working For You?"

I came up with this headline about a year before I took my AWAI copywriter training. I've always wanted to be an internet marketer and this was one if the products I was trying to sell. But even to this day, after having made improvements in the body copy, now that I learned the proper structure of a sales letter, I still cannot think of any better headline. After all, isn't it important that any interpreneur would want to keep track or web page performance in real time?

Again the details are on Web Page Link Activity Monitoring.

Tell me what do you think of the headline, the product, the use of animated illustation (can you really sell this without action images?) and the offer.

Francis

P.S. I still have to work out a few bugs, but I plan to release a beta version of this soon. keep you posted.

My first thought for a headline was...

"Is Your Website Leaking Sales?"

But people might think "leaking sales" is a good thing. Like if I said "oozing sales" or "dripping sales"

So how bout...

"Is Your Website Letting Sales Slip Through The Cracks?"

I'm trying to appeal to loss with some specificity, although it could be more specific.

Cheers,
Stephen Dean

try a more specific headline -

Are your web pages generating the sales you demand?

Are your web pages working as hard as they should be?

Are your web pages bringing you the results you expect from such a crucial investment?

Web pages that work are a must in todays business world - how do yours perform?

Is every page on your website working to its' absolute maximum?

just a couple of ideas that might stimulate some thoughts,

bluxx

I would get rid of the action animation and the "how it works" stuff.

Sell the BENEFITS.

Default Re: Sell the benefits - 10-13-2006, 11:33 AM

You really think you can effectively sell this thing without the action illustration that shows the Link Activity Register in action?
How it demonstrates recording page visitor activity in real time?

The whole purpose of the action illustration is to present the BIG IDEA.

As for benefits, what about my describing at length what you can learn
by knowing what and how many times selected links are clicked on
in relation to total number of page visits?

Why it is important to know whether your pages are typically scrolled down?

How to avoid being scammed or that your traffic generation efforts
are poorly targeted?

How using AdWords or any PPC can provide a realistic performance evaluation and a means to determine effectivenes of other traffic generation methods?

I really wonder how some master copywriter would "present the benefits".
Do you think it would be RADICALLY different from what I've done?

Just wondering.
