Default John Reese's Headline - 10-06-2006, 01:15 PM

Did anyone notice how John Reese's headline bores the readers-jaded ones especially-to tears?

And yet it managed to pull off millions of dollars in sales... how could this be?!

Is it due to "HYPE" marketing or what?

Hey wordsmith. . .FORTIN wrote the original. (I don't know if it has been changed since it was first uploaded.)

I was curious so I had to check. The earliest Traffic Secrets headline I could find is from 2 years ago:

"If You Can Copy And Paste,
Then You Have What It Takes
To Quickly And Easily Drive More
Cash-In-Hand, Eager-To-Buy Leads
And Prospects To Your Website
Than You Can Ever Handle —
Once You Know The Secrets."

Yup, that's mine.

A one-word headline. (Back by a a MEGA-subhead.)

Yup, that's mine too. "Once you know the secrets" was an add-on suggested by Jeff Mulligan. Another pretty darn good copywriter, too.

I think wordsmith includes the subhead as part of your headline because it's in red.

I would have tweaked it a bit just so there wasn't any confusion:

I didn't touch the "If You Want" part. It's pretty long winded with all the upper and lower case letters and there are a lot of dot dot dots in it for my taste. (As you can see I made the SUBhead upper and lower case to make it a bit easier to read since it's a bit long.

Exclamation 10-06-2006, 06:43 PM

A tagential but important update:

Remember that tweak I did to my Profit Pill salesletter based on Subtle's suggestion for that lawyer's site? I was getting about 20-30 subscribers a day, with the occasional "spike" to 50-60. Pure, organic, "drop-in" traffic.

And in just 3 days. Bam! 120-150 subscribers.

Now this is what I like! Real PROOF! Check it out...
