Default Critique 46 Second Promotional Video For New Product - 09-29-2006, 01:04 AM

Well, we'll be the first in our industry to start an Insiders Club. I would like to know what you think of our video that will be on the sales page.

http://www.braidsbybreslin.com/video2/

There is ONE purpose and ONE purpose only in this video. To get them to read the sales copy. We're going for the cliffhanger effect with this clip, get them real interested to where they just HAVE to to keep reading.

Any comments are appreciated and I'm openeing to altering the video.

Hi,
so here is my modeste vision :
please believe in my respect and my sympathy .

1)The video is realy too SHORT.
2)The Txet is just informative, it dosnt grab intention.
3)The Music is just 2 part (two repeated sequence).
4)The Focus on Hair and dreadloks, one person one tech two finger and one tool (show them more).

hope that help.

The beginner.

Hey Ricky,

Couple thoughts: I think the text may not be on the screen quite long enough, especially the first couple of instances.

I'm definitely NOT an expert in video, but I'd be real careful about using this directly on the sales page. Seems like it could be a distraction.

I understand what you said about going for a cliffhanger effect, but I wonder if a video like this might mitigate your response rate.

Hopefully you'll get responses on this from folks who've been testing viddies and have more concrete, real-world based advice to offer.

A.

Thanks everyone, I'm going to split test the video vs. NO video on the letter. I'll let everyone know.

That was my first thought when I saw the video.

Yup, I agree, I've taken it down and am re-doing it.

I've got to:

1. Make the words bigger
2. Make then stay a bit longer

Thanks for the tips, I'll bring the page back up soon.
