Default Tried a different approach with this one .. - 07-16-2004, 05:28 PM

Hi All,

I've tried the "editorial" soft-sell style with this one. Now this
was done at one sitting for about 4 hours, so I know I have some
tweaking to do still.

Let me know what you think of the approach.

Thanks,

Ray Edwards

Hi Ray,

I think your soft-sell style works fine, and is very appropriate for your product that is a "just the facts, ma'am" ebook.

One comment, though. I didn't read your page very carefully, but I don't recall anything that assured me your product contains info I (as a prospect) don't already have. Many of the folks in your target market have bought several other products on how to succeed in Internet Marketing... your product kinda sounds like it's a summary of various resources. If I already have the other resources, why would I need your "summary"? What makes it worth spending more money on?

Good point Bonnie.

Maybe I need to emphasize that more. But I remember in school when
I did literature and read those Coles notes that summarize the books,
they were a life-saver for me. The point is having the information
in summary form for easy access.

So the USP is easy concise access to infomration that could be
scattered and diluted all over the place. Like having a check-list.

Regards,

Ray Edwards

Yeah, I see the concept you're going for. I think it's a good idea!

Perhaps you could emphasize that a bit more, such as...

"There is such an incredible amount of valuable information available about Internet marketing these days... thousands of newsletters, ebooks, discussion forums, audio files, recorded interviews. etc. Even if you could afford to buy every great product out there, you'd have to spend hundreds of hours devouring it! Who has that kind of time?!? And if you're like me, you've got dozens of resources scattered all over your home... in your computer, on your bookshelf, in the closet, with your video collection, in the bathroom... Wouldn't it be great if you could distill and consolidate all of that wonderful information into an ebook that you could read within just a few minutes? Well, here's the answer that will provide you with all the information you need while saving you money, time, and room!" (and so on...)

One other little suggestion... could you name some of the sources of those 199 tips? It wouldn't have to be specific, perhaps something like...

"These principles are used every day by incredibly successful Internet marketing experts such as Jay Abraham, John Reese, Marlon Sanders... "

Or something similar. A little namedropping would give a lot of credibility to your tips, I think.

Anyway, just my 2 amateur cents' worth!

Good luck with it... sounds like a nice product, Ray!

Thanks Bonnie,

Great suggestions by the way. I will try and incorporate
your ideas. This was really a 3 hour work so I know that
it still needs tweaking-- Thanks for your great suggestions!

Ray
