Creating them is driving me bonkers!

I find it so much more difficult to create a sample than to do a job for a client. I guess because the client gives direction and is the chief source of information for the piece.

I've had my first client and they came back for more ... so that's a good thing. But I need more samples for my c/w site.

Any tips, starting points, resources, suggestions of any kind ... are so much appreciated ...

What about finding a website/company that fits your target group and design a cw sample for them. Nothing says they have to hire you but at least it will give you an chance to flex your muscles.
