The problem is mine is a very untypical product. It won't whiten your teeth while automating your entire operation or make you insanely rich by the fifth chapter.
It is, to put it best, a preparation guide for those considering or actually entering the wild and wacky world of home business.

Dan, your product really isn't untypical. You should be able to find plenty of sales letters on the net promoting books and information products. (I'd send you a link to one I completed a couple months ago, but my client
still hasn't posted it .... argh!)
You aren't selling the prospect on the book itself so much as the ideas the book contains. Your sales letter needs to get across very strongly what the reader will learn from the book, what it will enable him to do, how it will equip him to succeed, etc. One things that works well in promoting an info product is to include in the letter a bulleted list of specifics, such as
- the 4 things you absolutely must do before opening for business
- 7 red flags that indicate you should walk away from the deal
- 18 case studies of business owners who started on a shoestring and succeeded beyond their wildest dreams
- yada yada yada.
Use plenty of testimonials, too, of course.
I'm sure others will have lots of great input. This is just off the top of my head. I'm surfing when I'm supposed to be writing, so I guess I better get back to work.
