Default Need help structuring an offer... - 03-18-2005, 09:03 PM

I'm working with a young lady trying to sell this particular product, called "Threelac" The product is good. And she's getting some traffic but the conversion rate could be better. The product is tightly controlled so we can't offer certain things like "free shipping".

But anyway here is the site in question:

http://www.candida-yeast-problems.com

Let me give you the parameters of what I'm working with:
1. I'm dealing with a single product, "Threelac", which is a supplement that combats candida and yeast infections. One can is good for a two-month supply.
2. The distributor of the product maintains tight pricing controls. I can not sell it for less than $49.95.
3. I am not allow to offer free shipping on it either.
4. I can offer bonuses as long as they aren't a product that has a known price. I can offer information and reports.

This is what we're currently offering as taken directly off of the website:

Here are 5 good reasons "Why" we should be your source for Threelac to help combat Candida and Yeast Infection problems...

If YOU have questions about candida or yeast infections or how best to use Threelac to help with your situation then email us by clicking here or give us a call at 716-397-5719. You can even get a free consultation from alternative health expert "Mrs. Oxygen" Leeda McCabe.

Get Threelac at the guaranteed lowest price of $49.95. If you find it lower anywhere we'll pay you the difference AND we'll give you another 10% on top of it!

We're so confident that Threelac can help you that we'll not only give you a money back guarantee on one can of Threelac but we'll also send you back an additional $20 for just trying the product. See our "Guarantee" page for more details.

Get NEXT DAY SHIPPING by Priority Mail-- at our exact cost of $3.85. We don't make a single penny from shipping! And we ship FAST because we know you want what you order RIGHT NOW! ***Order two cans and only pay .10 more in shipping! Yep $3.95 shipping for two cans of Threelac!

We offering you a FREE bonus on top of everything else-- Order Threelac from us and also receive two free product samples and two free bonus reports. A $20 value absolutely FREE.

Needless to say I'm not happy with my conversion numbers. Do you have any ideas on how I can make the offer stronger? Is it too strong now? Is it unbelievable?

Please give my your opinion...

Hi Mike,

My feeling is that buyers are more concerned with quality and effectiveness than with price. Leave out the part about finding any product at a lower price. That's more the norm for electronics, but I've never seen it for health related products. If the rest of the letter is convincing enough, then the offer should (I think) be quite simple.

Try it for at least XX days. If you're not satisfied with the results, return it for a full refund.

OR maybe, you can offer them a refund without them having to return the unused portion. All they have to do is call the number.

I would not give them an additional $20 just to try it, because that doesn't sound quite right.

Just make it very easy to get the refund and let them try the product as long as they want to.

One free report (I would just have one) on Candida or a related health topic could be offered separately as a lead generator. Just for visitng the site.

Then you could say free product samples with every order.

I would leave out the shipping discussion. People expect to pay shipping when they order online. Make it $4.00 even. Then you can let them buy two for 4.50 shipping. Something like that.

Simple, simple, simple. The way you have it is too much, too confusing, too many offers.

Just my take on it. Naturally I could be wrong. But maybe this gives you something to test.

Kay

Kay,

You 've made a lot of outstanding points.

I've looked at this from every which angle and yep the simplicity thing makes sense.

I get too close to my stuff at times and I tend to overanalyze it.

Thank you Kay!

Mike W.
